Pick Up Date
This is Alison’s favorite Date, but not Jeff’s!
Here’s why!
Alison had too much fun!
Seriously, this isn’t a complicated Date, we have had people tell us that they went in a bar, pretended to be strangers.
He sends her a drink.
She sends him a wink.
He walks over, they walk out, done.
But not with Alison, oh noooo!
Here’s how it went ~
Jeff says, go in the club here, and just hang out while I park the car.
I’ll come in and try to pick you up!
“Okay!” She smiles!
Jeff parks the car, excited by the “thrill” of the chase!
Jeff walks in, and Alison is already dancing with some guy! So I (Jeff) buy a drink and watch for an opening.
The song ends, they come walking right by me, so I say “Hi there!”.
Alison says “Hi!” and keeps walking to this guys table full of college kids!
So after I pick my jaw up off of the floor I go over and try to muscle in a spot on the crowded table. Alison is doing well, surrounded by her new friends!
Alison has a “sparkling” personality, mine is a cross between a root canal and a funeral.
So now, all the guys are elbowing me out, “shove off! mate”, we like the new girl.
Not to look desperate, because I was, I asked another girl to dance (to make Alison jealous).
She says no.
Not just no, but “Not with yooouuu!”
I see Alison having the time of her life and laughing at me.
It’s not for several hours (literally a few minutes that felt like hours to me) that a great song came on that Alison and I both like came on.
There was no getting to her, so I had to just gesture, “let’s dance?” and she nodded.
When she got up about 6 people from the table came over to dance too, and we were surrounded. I still had to fight off competition for my own girl.
Alison was never happier!
A long, long time later, when I finally had her in the car, I felt like I had to fight to get back my own liver!
She sighed and said “That was really fun!”
We haven’t done it since.
Okay, okay, we have, but we NEVER, NEVER make it hard for the person seducing us to get us back.
You may handle it your own way, but we suggest keeping your partner in the game with a bit more encouragement.
Enjoy! (and be nice).
